Odd One Out: which one doesn't belong?

Odd One Out shows you four historical events at a time. Three of them happened in the same century, or later in the run the same decade. Find the fourth before the clock runs out.

How to play

  • Read the four events and tap the one from a different time.
  • For the first 10 questions the three share a century. After that they share a decade, and the odd one gets closer.
  • You have 15 seconds for each question. A wrong tap or running out of time costs a heart, and three end the run.
  • Get 10 right in a row to win back a lost heart.
  • Every answer shows all four years, so you learn as you go. Share your score and see if your friends can beat it.

Frequently asked questions

How does Odd One Out work?

Almanac Odd One Out shows four historical events. Three happened in the same century and one didn't: tap the odd one out within 15 seconds. A wrong tap or running out of time costs a heart, 3 end the run, and 10 right in a row win a heart back.

Does Odd One Out get harder?

Yes. For the first 10 questions three events share a century, and the odd one starts far away before coming from the next century over. From question 11 they share a decade, and from question 21 the odd one is from the very next decade.

Does everyone get the same Odd One Out questions?

Yes. Every player gets the same questions in the same order each day, so scores can be compared fairly. They change at midnight UTC.
